I am thinking of moving to New Zealand for a few years (at least) and was wondering what the career opportunities were like for newly qualified social workers - especially ones who have a back ground in residential child care. I’m a 41 year old male.

I am a criminal justice major and do not really know what i want to do with my degree once i get it. I need to find a list of jobs and amount of money per year i would make or other info just to learn more about law enforcement jobs.
This site has a whole bunch of good "How to become…." articles about different professions in the criminal justice field. They give a description of the job, the education requirements, and the salary stats and job outlook.

Also in their blog they interview people who actually work in criminal justice which is pretty cool!

I am a Junior in high school and I decided to take L.M.S (Life Management Skills) for the last 2 years of high school since it talks about managing your life and everything. Recently, we talked about going to college, budgets and all that stuff. It really hit me because thinking about working to pay all your bills while having college class, which are worse than high school classes, sounds like a pain.
So I was wondering, what is the best job to do while in college that is capable of paying car payment, insurance, apartment renting, food?

Where can I find a home-based job online that is available for all ages and
does not require personal details?
And pays weekly?
Legit work at home jobs do exist. It’s strange to me that there are still people that do not believe this. There are scams yes, but not all of them are.
Below are a couple great forum sites with new work at home job leads everyday. Most of the jobs require you to be 18 and up, but there may be some that you can do if you are under 18. There are lots of supportive members on both sites who either already work from home or are there to help others find a job. There are also threads on how to spot scams and scams people have had experience with. Be sure to read those. You can also use http://www.ripoffreport.com as a great resource to protect yourself from scams.

Employment opportunities only really occur when one person or organisation needs to employ another - you could engineer this by sacking everybody after so many years so that you can continually renew these opportunities (which is what basically happens in public sector contracts) but the wisdom of this is highly questionable.

Well, my father have been working in an Indian bank(Vijaya Bank) for over 30 years now & he currently holds the position of being the Senior Bank Manager.Hes about to retire in 2012, but he wants to continue working, so he was thinking of going abroad somewhere in US to work as bank manager or at some higher ranks. Can anyone suggest some positions related to banking jobs, as he might be able to work for after retiring in 2012 ? He has certain preferences like working in the HSBC, Bank of America, or any other good banks. He holds a Bachelor degree in Commerce/Accountancy & has done MBA in Finance. After getting selected will he be working on a H1B Visa or will he be able to get a Green Card(Labor Certification, etc) ?
Please suggest jobs what he might get & what would be the salaries .
Any Answers ?

Register at your local Unemployment Office (you don’t need to be on unemployment to register for their assistance). They often will have networking groups on a regular basis. They also are a good source for the jobs that never show up in the paper or online.
