what does ‘reports to:’ in a job listing mean?
I am trying to send a resume and cover letter for a job posting and there is no name listed to address the cover letter to, however it says ‘Reports to: AVP Marketing"…. Is this who I should address my cover letter to? Thanks!
A cover letter is usually addressed to the Human Resources Department (HR). I think you should address your cover letter to the HR irrespective of whom you will be reporting to.
