what jobs are now in high demand in quebec?
i am planning to migrate in quebec from south asia. what jobs apart from medicine and engineering are plentiful now? i hear it welcome immigrants.
That’s not entirely true about the having to be fluent in French. If you move to Montreal, there are more Anglos there than elsewhere in Quebec. I speak French to a conversational level, but I work entirely in English.
You’ll have no problem finding a job as an English-speaker in the realms of IT, as long as you are a professional. Most likely in the Montreal downtown or West Island.
Although most employers want a good grasp of French, just look for the industries that are DESPERATE for people. I suggest getting your CV/resume on www.monster.ca.
One more thing, part of the consideration process in obtaining a Canadian work visa is that you speak either English or French and are completely fluent. The jobs that you apply for must be in demand and will require a Labour Market Assessment to ascertain that. This can take a considerable amount of time.
