What’s more important to most Americans: Obama creating new jobs or signing unemployment extensions?

August 3rd, 2010

I guess most Americans have given up on Obama creating jobs…………..

Don’t tell me that Obama doesn’t create jobs - Does "Obama has Saved or Created Millions of Jobs" with his this that and the other - at least that’s what Biden and the media have been telling us.

The only jobs Obama created were the census jobs that have all but vanish now.

2 year unemployment insurance is bait to make more government dependents.

It sounds like you might be interested in becoming a computer software or hardware engineer

If you want to learn more about this then here are some resources you can try out

You should speak to your school counselor or stop by your local library…they may have many resources available such as books, DVDs, website, pamphlets, and etc. to help you decide which career path to take

You can stop by a local company and etc. to ask for recommendations…they probably could recommend a good school to go to and also what classes or courses you should take

There are also many online forums for different subjects….you can ask them for any advice and information

Who do I put as my employer if my last job as through an agency?

July 31st, 2010

I’m apply for work and I’ve had minimal luck and I don’t want to return to an agency since I’m trying to find part-time jobs and agencies usually specialize in full-time. Maybe I’ve had bad luck since I’m putting the location in which the agency had me working at. Should I use the agency itself as my last employer or the place they had me working?

If the agency paid you then they were your employer regardless of where you actually performed the work.

If are performing services for a well-known business you may wish to include that. I worked for Manpower a number of years ago but performed the services at IBM. I show that job as "Manpower @ IBM" so that a prospective employer has a sense of what the job entailed.

What is the easiest summer job a 19 year old can get?

July 31st, 2010

I have a job at a daycare center with three years of experience, but I don’t get enough hours, and next summer I would like a new job. It doesnt have to be in child care, I actually just want a job where I can sit around and work, not run after toddlers. I’m not too great with numbers, and really great with people.

I like eTeenJobs. They have a great website set up for teenagers looking for summer jobs. They help you start thinking about your career after school and have tons of information.

Question about part-time employment in Ontario?

July 31st, 2010

What is the minimum amount of hours, for a school-enlisted minor in Ontario, to work in order to keep part-time status? The workplace in question is McDonald’s.

Anthing less than 37.5 is considered part-time, doesn’t matter where it it. Work one shift a week and you are working part time.

Are there any real online work at home jobs that are legitimate, not scams. Anyone working one for real?

July 31st, 2010

I am crippled and a stay at home wife, I have a few small debts that I need to pay off and I am good on the computer, so I need to know if there are any companies out there that do not require a lot of start up fees and are for real so I can work, get paid and get some bills paid off soon! MissMandy

Unless you have very specific skills, such as graphic design, web design, computer programming, there are no real internet work at home jobs. You will just be bombarded with all kinds of scams.

What is a great medical job that pays great and doesn’t have to be on call all the time but won’t get sued?

July 31st, 2010

I want a great medical job for the future and am undecided what to do but would like it to pay good but yet not be on call all the time but then again I don’t want a job where I will be paying a lot for insurance because I don’t want to be sued. Please help me out!!!

Do not become a doctor. First, if doing it for the money you will be miserable. Second, there is no way around liability insurance. There are no specialties exempt from being sued (although obviously the types and severity of suits vary by specialty).

If pay and liability insurance are your main issues, then go into pharmacy or nursing. They pay quite well and pay a whole heck of a lot less in insurance. Although even here, if your main goal is loads of money, you will grow to hate your job.

Good paying medical jobs like Physician Assistant that doesn’t require medical school?

July 31st, 2010

Or more than 8 years of schooling? What are some? Thanks!

Nurse Practitioner…You need a bachelor’s degree in nursing, plus two years of clinical nursing experience after that to get into the NP program. The NP program is, I believe, another two years. A total of 6 years in school, but 8 years to finish. During your two years of clinical nursing after your BSN you are paid a BSN salary, however.
